Description

AMHA/AMHR 2004 buckskin Miniature Horse mare. Buckeye WCF Just Say the Word (Rumor) came from a top Ohio farm known as Buckeye Walnut Creek Farm who earned AMHR Breeder of the year in 2010 through 2013. They excelled and halter and driving champions. The farm disbursed in 2014 due to the untimely death of one of the owners. Rumor was started in driving training but not finished.

She has served as an excellent broodmare for years. She is striking in appearance and never gets overweight but stays trim as a miniature horse should be. She has a wonderful, sweet disposition and we didn't breed her back this year. We are downsizing and only keeping a few mares. She produced a beautiful and sweet filly in 2020 and should be able to produce more foals. We only breed every other year. She was bred for a foal for this year but lost it over the winter. We decided not to breed her back and left her open. She is still young enough to finish her driving training and big enough to tow a cart with no problems. She stands at 34.75" and weighs around 350 pounds. It is possible she could be trained to allow a child to ride her. She can still be a broodmare or just be your backyard pet. She is great with grooming and hoof trimming, comes in from pasture when called, gets along with the rest of the herd, and has excellent ground manners. We screen all potential new homes for our horses for suitability and for their well being. We also coach and mentor those new to horses. Previous horse experience is not a prerequisite for owning one of our horses.
