Description

Double registered AMHA/AMHR miniature horse grullo colt out of a retired buckskin show mare. His dam is 34” and his sire 30” but we anticipate he will mature at 33-34” as he is a stout colt standing around 22” at birth. His sire is from the bloodlines of Circle S, Komoko, Hidden Meadow and Shadow Oaks. His dam has bloodlines from Willow Creek, Glen Haven's and Walnut Creek Farm.

This colt has the potential to be a driving horse, a show horse or just a back yard pet with great color and conformation. The grullo dun color is not a common color and is often sought for breeding and showing.

We are again keeping our prices low with the goal of finding him a good home. We are asking $900 and will accept a 50% deposit to hold him until weaning time. The registration papers have not yet been sent in so the new owner can help pick out a name for him.

For those new to horses, we mentor you in learning to raise and train your new horse. However, we do screen for suitability of the new owner and facility. He should be ready to leave for his new home at four to five months of age. He was born on May 17 so can leave in September or October. We wean depending on the mental and emotional maturity of the foal and not by calendar dates. Those foals who need more time with their mom's get it. Those who are independent and more mature are weaned earlier. We find it is easier on them to make the adjustment to a new environment when they are ready and they will make you a better companion as a result.
